Ralph Fiennes to film Coriolanus

ralph_fiennesThough apparently still in “development hell”, Ralph Fiennes passion project to direct and star in a film adaptation of Coriolanus seems to be moving forward. If financing is still an issue, the just announced casting of Gerard Butler as Aufidius should be of some use in drumming up investors.

The rest of the proposed cast ain’t too shabby neither, with Vanessa Redgrave as the not-to-be-messed-with Volumnia, as well as William Hurt and Jessica Chastain, presumably as Menenius and Virgilia.
